My Sunny Boy

L. has turned 9!

He is our sunshine!

He is our little buckeroo!

He is our SWEETheart!

Happy Birthday, Mr. 9 year old!

He requested a Lego cake. He liked it.
Since his actual b-day fell on a Sunday, we spread the celebrating out over 2 days.

His birthday wish came true--he got wheels!  A FAST bike.
He loves to ride around with the big bow on, so it can be known that he got a bike for his birthday.
Funny boy.

Christmas Cheer

Our Christmas celebration in pictures
(and a few words).

We can't waiiiiitttttttt to open our presents!
Christmas Eve--before the present opening begins!

Armful
of Christmas elves.
Right after our Shepherd's Dinner.

Ahhh...brotherly love.

...and Nerf guns to shoot at each other.

Crazzzzzy excited!
Amazing Nerf gun wars followed with Nerf bullets zinging through the air.

A. snuggling with her warm, new comforter.

B. snuggling with her new comforter.

The comforters on the beds.
I must interject.  Those blankets were made with a LOT of love, a bit of trial and error, some sweat, a bundle of minutes, and more bunches of love.  And no, their room isn't always so tidy looking.
The MOM fairy came in to smooth the blankets, shove stuff around, and angle the camera properly for a clean shot.

T's folks spent B's birthday and Christmas with us. We visited, put puzzles together, played games (of which Grandma N won her fair share!), and played outside. They even survived the Nerf gun wars...wait a second! Grandpa was right in the midst of that! A Nerf bullet even found it's way into Grandma's bag and went home with them.

Grandpa N with the girls.

And once everything settled down, the boys and I went on some wonderful bike rides together.
A great start to a new year!
