A couple of weeks before Valentine's, A came home ready to make her Valentine box. She created her Valentine Castle of Love box. She put a little doorbell to the side which she rigged up with the music part of one of those music cards she got from one of her grandmas. Every time someone pushed the doorbell some funky music came playing out.

The day of the school Valentine parties finally came and B. was ready for a party! She was so excited all day for that party. She loved the Valentines. She loved the food. She loved showing off her cute little brother when he visited. Love, love, love.

The boys thought all this love stuff was o.k as long as there was food to go with it. X. worked on his Valentine's well in advance, making sure that each classmate got the perfect one. (Thankfully, all those boxes of unused Valentine's from past years were used up this year, AND everyone was fine with it! Hurray!) L. loved going to ALL the Valentine Parties. He scored a plate of goodies and a drink at each one. The girls in his sisters' classes "
ooooed" and "
ahhhed" over him. Didn't stop him; he just kept stuffing the food in.

Then after all the school festivities, B and A had a Valentine's Party with their friends. They played Stack the Conversation Hearts, Steal my Heart (how many candy hearts can you get with chopsticks), Dump the Hearts (use a spoon to dump hearts in a cup on your head while looking in the mirror), etc. We made poppers filled with kisses and hugs, frosted cookies, and had Love Potion with a caution to the girls that they might "fall in love" with the first non-relative boy they saw. With all the craziness and giggling going on, T made sure and
skedaddled with X and L until the party was over.

Then X and I made a popper for a complete and Happy Valentine's Day!
