Fifth graders who are good citizens can be chosen to be safety patrol. B has enjoyed her stint and reminds me that "Safety patrol is a big responsibility, and I'm responsible."

Safety Patrol
Watch out for that gal in the stylish orange vest, waving a red stop sign! It's Safety Patroller B with her friendly smile, ready to help you trot safely across the cross-walk.
