A whole decade ago, an angel went missing from heaven.
He turned up at our house--our very own little X-man!
He was greeted enthusiastically by his sisters,
A
and B.
He arrived in the nick of time--
3 days later a week-long blizzard blew in
and no one was going out THAT door!
He was just the bouncy boy we needed!
He was just what the doctor ordered!
As the little man grew...
he showed us how to have a ball
and get up and have a good time...
or maybe sit this one out.
ANYWAY...
he knew he was the NUMBER 1 guy in our lives!
As the years have gone zooming by,
X-man has shown us how to:
SMILE and love life,
enjoy chocolate
and then share the joy,
be the coolest big brother ever,
build
(Legos and others),
laugh and BE HAPPY!
We are SO lucky to have him in our family. He brings peace and zany-ness into our lives.
X-man has kept his cool
even when life has made him want to
SHOUT!
He is patient, peaceful, quiet, gentle,
kind, and good.
AND
ooooohhhhhhh
SOOOO lovable!!!
X-man started his b-day morning at 3:40 A.M. Sleep was eluding him and birthday excitement was AWAKE and well! Since I could sleep, I sent him downstairs to read for a bit. Then the morning began with present opening and a yummy birthday breakfast (his choice of Captain Crunch and Pop Tarts!).
The day progressed with building the new toys, receiving lots of phone calls with birthday wishes (he LOVES those calls), flying a kite, playing at a park, having an electron-a-thon, going out to a birthday dinner with the waitress loudly announcing to the whole restaurant there was a 10 year old in the house and singing a rousing Happy Birthday! He LOVED that attention. His wish came true when the waitress brought him a molten chocolate lava cake.
He was very sweet and shared.
Then we went home and had ice cream pie. YUM!
May all his wishes come true!
Kicked back and ready for his upcoming year!

Happy Happy Birthday. I just loved all those baby pictures and it's amazing how I could totally see his facial features now in his baby face. Love it!! I'm glad it was such a fun day for him.
