Oh My! This life is CRAZY!
For the first few months he gave us his serious face.
But then he has been quick to let us see his sweet side.
And his happy side.
Sometimes his onery side.
Being a boy after my own heart, he loves chocolate and candy and Jelly Bellies, and Sour Patch Kids, and ice cream, and...
Of course, he LOVES Lego and is building, building, building all the time.
Because he's such a good builder, I turn to him when I need to put a shelf or dresser or anything together. He's my go-to guy!
When he opens his mouth to speak, amazing ideas come out.
He's a great listener too!

He celebrated with presents, donuts, Mine Craft time, Lego Movie time, dinner out, and molten chocolate cake! YUM!
While Xman was celebrating in the warmth of his home with the sweet smell of chocolate cake and a good day of play behind him, the girls were celebrating those who'd gone before by dressing as pioneers and leaving behind all traces of technology and indoor plumbing!
B and A, along with 500 other youth, spent 3 days pulling handcarts up and down hills and through a river, cooking in dutch ovens, and sleeping out under the stars (in a tent) on the hard ground. They walked 16 miles by the time it was done and were WORN OUT. I think they were glad to have done it and realized they CAN do hard things, because they just did! Running water, indoor plumbing, soft beds, cars, and microwaves are more than just convenient; they are wonderful! We were glad they "survived" and glad they came home with only a few blisters and a little sunburn. The Trekkers had perfect weather the whole time with the heavens letting go of buckets of rain just hours after they returned home.
