On our way home from Colorado this summer, we received news that T's mom had passed away unexpectedly. We knew we all needed to be there too. Family togetherness was just what Joyce loved, so two days after getting home, we hopped back in the car to go be with family and celebrate Joyce's life.
While there, a wild game of 500 was played with the cousins and the uncles. The game got even funner with this rule and that rule being added. Joyce would have loved watching everyone clowning around together.

The Nauvoo Temple,
a place where covenants are made with the Lord so families can be together forever.
When someone we love passes from this mortal journey we especially feel thankful for the sealing blessings of the temple which reach beyond the grave and make our family bonds last beyond this life and for the eternities. We know Joyce is continuing on her journey, helping and teaching others who have finished their mortal journey. I'm thankful for Joyce and the way she and Larry taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to T. He was taught to open doors for me, to work hard to support his family, to love us bunches, to joke, to love learning, and to be kind because of the example of his goodly parents.
Families ARE forever.
