Our Grandma and Grandpa N. came to visit us for the weekend. We had big plans to show them some wild times, but had to tone it down a bit when little L. got sick. They went right along with whatever we had planned or didn't have planned. The kiddos LOVED all the time they got to play and all the LOVE that was shown to them. They played "Payday" over and over again, as well as "Sorry," "Taboo," "Apples to Apples," and more. They took Grandpa putt-putting, and had a movie party with everyone. We put Grandpa to work as he and T worked on our toilet that broke while they were here. (Luckily, it wasn't major). Grandpa wore his missionary tag on Sunday for Stake Conference (a semi-annual church meeting with surrounding congregations) and got to stand up with all the other full-time missionaries serving in the area. It was very neat to see.
On Sunday we got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. A and L. each put together a treasure hunt and made Grandpa look for his gifts. Of course, they gave him great clues. We ended the celebration with key lime pie and rowdy birthday singing.
Finding clue number 1 on his treasure hunt!
Another clue!
A. helps L. along the hunt.
Treasure found!
Grandpa is the REAL treasure!
Thinking about those wishes.
Yummy treasures!
B. relaxing with Grandpa
AHHHHHH! They've gone berserk! That's what a weekend with us with do.
And so we had a weekend with lots of goings-on. The kiddos felt lots of love, and we are very glad they are so loved. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa N!
